Overview

This guy was a Dungeons and Dragons character I had for a campaign between friends that we played once, and ended up never continuing (not terribly uncommon). His name is Phontis of the Lost Harbor, and he is of the Water Genasi race; essentially a water genie. He is a Druid of the Coast, meaning he specializes in water magic and shapeshifting. The chunk of shell around his neck is a piece of a Turtle Dragon that destroyed his home harbor many years ago.

Digitally painting him was also one of many excuses to practice anatomy and rendering. Unconventional fantasy skin tones allow for interesting directions in shading and lighting. One of my proudest pieces so far.
