Overview

Despite being a class assignment, this zine is charged with a great deal of personal energy. Essentially, it is a collection of points of my own worldview, conveyed through various passionate statements that have stuck with me through the years. Some are from songs, poems, philosophers, animations, or even just personal mantras from my own thoughts. Alongside these statements are illustrations and imagery that have always stuck a deep chord with me, some even staying in my head for years before being put down to paper. Everything is burning with a furious, beast-like positivity that seeks to destroy nihilism and hopelessness. While the tone may be angry, it is certainly meant to be motivating, rather than intimidating. The back of the zine flattens into a poster featuring a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche, which more closely explains the message of the whole zine. Overall one of the most personal design works I’ve made so far.
